TIHWD seems dying everywhere except in Belize!! I start thinking this is end for our late Summer 2014's moderate smash!! Now that TIHWD is fading we can think about 6th single that should be Walking on Air, or International Smile, or Double Rainbow or It Takes Two, but please no LL!!!

I wonder if they'll put out a six single considering the last two have been under performances. Most artists don't make it to 4th singles anymore, let alone 6.
I hope they do though, WOA and LL should both get the attention they should've had since day 1

Yeah, I have to agree with you!! Both B-day and TIHWD underperformed (based on Katy's standards) so I think it's really better closing this era!! They better start promoting Prism's reissue or a new Katy album (if it is ready) more than releasing a 6th single!!

Listening to fans is the easiest way to kill your career. I hope she knows that

Gotta love Tuesdays
As opposed to music directors? Didn't the fans, when she had a huge casual fanbase, chose "E.T." and "Dark Horse"? And wasn't it a small but very vocal group of fans on her Twitter that wanted "This Is How We Do"? And wasn't one fan that wanted to make sure she released "Legendary Lovers" all the way back at the beginning of the year? And wasn't "Walking On Air" highlighted much more in reviews than "Legendary Lovers"? Just some things to consider. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong, but when there's a large group of them that have wanted a single that music directors have been asking for since October, maybe opinions matter.
Maybe "Legendary Lovers" is the way to go. and maybe it's not, but the impending decision merits very careful consideration. Again, if she's going to with "Legendary Lovers," it needs to be reworked to realize its full hit-potential.

So a new radio-mix of LL is going to be the 6th single!! LL stans this is your day to cheers!!!
Having already had TIHWD as single, I'm happy and I will support the new single!!!
People come for her for choosing the singles this era, but I think she chose the best contenders for singles. When the album dropped, everyone I knew was sure 'Uncle' was going to be the smash of the Fall. And while I cannot stand 'Birthday' and 'TIHWD', they were obvious choices for singles as well. She chose the most obvious single choices, which was a good plan on her part in theory. But the thing is, sometimes the public just doesn't click with certain songs no matter how sure people are of their would-be success.
I think she is suffering a bit from overexposure, so ending the era with a nice nod (the TIHWD video) would be ideal and she can just focus on the tour. She'll stay out of the spotlight a lil' bit until she decides to come back with a new album. Don't push something that's just going to end up hurting you in the long run.

overexposure? almost no promo for her last 2 singles
she suffered from overexposure back in the TD era with the 8 singles, that's why she took a year off (Fall 2012 - Summer 2013)
At least it isn't decreasing in sales and [hopefully] it will peak at the top 20 on Hot 100. I knew from the beginning, when I used to hate and trash the song, it wouldn't go nowhere. She's lucky the video saved it. Imagine if she had released a Birthday kind of making of for this? Bubbling Under would be even hard. Soon enough we can move to Legendary Lovers, aka the Dark Horse cousin.

And now she's asking them again, God save us
On a serious note, even if Unconditionally wasn't as big as we would like it to be, even if some releases were rushed and some videos just tragic, she was making the RIGHT single choices until as you said yourself, someone convinced her to release TIHWD instead of WoA which clearly was her intention. She also said that LL would be a fall single. She has a great intuition and no offence to anyone on her team but I bet the same loosers who told her TIHWD would be a great smash and now regret it are the ones telling her that WoA is the way to go. Maybe some vocal group of fans prefers it but they already own the album and they won't buy it again. Casual listeners and even haters prefer LL and that is the truth of the matter. And I know you're more aware of what's going to do well on the radio than we are but I still believe in her choices. WoA is wasted hit and it's time for everyone to move on.
This is dead. (I hope I'm wrong though )
Time for the only song that can save the album: Legendary 10th #1!
WOA could have done better if it was released earlier but I don't see it doing wonders now.
I hope Katy learned ha lessons. She just can't release mediocre pop songs (Birthday, TIHWD, International Smile ) and expect them to smash because they are not meant to smash. The fact that she considered them singles above WOA and LL is above my interpretation skills
I'll call the era dead once the next single is not LL

I never said that. If she choses "Legendary Lovers," it would really benefit from more minimal production. Like "This Is How We Do," there may be too much going on production-wise for the current radio climate...something more like this (I know it doesn't align perfectly):
