Ah, the song that will be on everyone's lists, Viva La Vida <3333
As for 4 Minutes, I think it was pretty mediocre for a comeback single. Give it 2 Me would've been much more memorable
I like I Kissed a Girl, though I must say I was a bit annoyed when during the video she never actually kisses a girl. It reminded me of Sk8er Boi whose video had NOTHING to do with the song despite the song having an awesome storyline.
And yay MGMT, especially because of its bril use on Gossip Girl.
Viva la Vida? more like Viva la Awesome. I totally think the mash-up version of the song with the guitarist dude should be the official one though. That's what Coldplay needs more of, cheesy rock guitar players.
NG's Top 30 Joints Of 2008....Presents : Number 22 & 21
22. Britney Spears - Womanizer
Released: September 26, 2008.
From the Album : Circus 2007:Shiny Toy Guns - You Are the One 2006:Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man 2005:Nas Feat. Quan - Just a Moment 2004:Sum 41 - We're All to Blame
Womanizer. What an odd word for a song title, the first time I heard that new Britney's single would be named that, I was like this sounds annoying already. Of course, I was judging a song by its title and before I know it, Womanizer is a perfect single for Britney's real comeback. Actually, no, this isn’t a comeback - this is more like a second coming. Britney is here to save pop culture, and we should be grateful that she is deigning to do so. Womanizer is Britney's first single to ever appear on my top 30 joints year-end chart, and trust me that is a huge deal. The track is motivated with beam light of energy as well as anthem to all the ladies out there dealing with playboys. The clip for this single is hotness, it brings back the Britney we know, simply stunning and healthy-looking. ^_^
21. Craig David - Insomnia
Released: November 17, 2008.
From the Album : Craig David: Greatest Hits 2007:Amy Winehouse - Rehab 2006:The Pussycat Dolls Feat. Snoop Dogg - Buttons 2005:Lindsay Lohan - Confessions Of a Broken Heart 2004:Fabolous - Breathe
Yes! Finally, some urban **** on this year's chart! I love Craig David, he has always been one of my favorite artists. His last album, Trust Me was a nice accomplishment, but I fail to pay attention to it so it did not make my list last year. However, the good news is his greatest hits album has arrived! and comes Insomnia, a U.S. potential hit in his hands. Insomnia sounds similar to Ne-Yo's 'Closer' and Chris Brown's 'Forever'; however in my opinion, the track turns out to be better than those two songs. So how is that possible? Maybe, it is because the track is fulfilled with Craig's smooth vocal serenading the woman he is infatuated with along with hot, upbeat dance vibe with a bass-heavy beat courtesy of Timbaland protégé Jim Beanz. Insomnia brings out the confident and energetic Craig has, the two qualities that will play well with the club scene. With that said, let us keep on dancing to Insomnia. <3
We're going to enter the top 20 tomorrow?!?! OMG. LOL.
