Wait this makes sense though, music videos are just no longer that great and the expose about how most of them are made just because of the products they promote

I thought they stopped playing music videos because they created spin-off channels like MTV Hits, MTV Jams, MTV HD, etc

Yup. I watch MTV twice a year - during VMA and EMA (but I still record it)

now that were in the digital age there's no need for a channel with just music videos. also mtv has spin off channels that plays music videos 24/7. also t.v. shows are what brings the money in. no one is going to sit around watching mtv just to see their favorite music video when they could just go online.

This video is like 5 years old, and actually nobody complains about MTV now.
