Hmmm. I'm not sure how to feel about this.
I grew up in urban schools and there are times when it's necessary for teachers to "drag" students because it's the only way they will respect them. However, I do think this teacher went overboard with the students. Giving them the hand and trying to scare them with the "everybody knows me" talk is wrong. At that point it becomes a matter of fear, not respect, which is wrong.
Even though I think she went overboard seeing this, I can't really judge her because I am not in her shoes and I know how hard it is to handle misbehaved urban children. I've witnessed teachers in urban schools literally burst into tears and quit because they couldn't handle being abused by their students.
It's sad to see students behaving this way though. It was bad when I was growing up, but never like this. I honestly don't even want to have kids anymore because I know that as much as I try and raise them well, I can't shelter them from being surrounded and influenced by kids like the ones in this video.
