I mean a little white lie doesn't hurt nobody when it comes to their actual appearance. They can't change it, and it boosts their confidence.
But I'm not going to allow a friend to buy the pants that make ha butt look like saggy mashed potatoes, let them know when they didn't blend their makeup correctly, or when they're just plain smelly.

Well. i'm a guy so girls don't ask me if they're hot or if they look good at all.
Guys ask mostly about outfit. I haven't had a situation when a guy asked me if he's hot.
I personally think I'm reasonably attractive (5 or 6/10) but I've been told I'm cute and photogenic, even though I don't see it, my rubbish, self-perception.
My friends either don't say anything or instead say how they think they're fat or ugly, when they're exaggerating. I'm brutally-honest when it comes to saying that they're not ugly or not as fat as they think they are. Sometimes they'll ask me if I think they're attractive or good-looking, and if I don't think they're attractive, I'll say that "...personally I don't find you attractive to me, but it doesn't mean you're not attractive to other people".
You can be honest without being a ****ing, nasty bitch like some of the people on here are... I've friends who are hot or somewhere in the middle, or are unattractive or downright-ugly, but I'm not going to stop being friends with them because of their physical appearance, I'm not shallow, superficial or vapid, everyone has their worth and good points and bad points.
Well if someone asks me their opinion on things I won't sugar coat it. Like 'Do you like this shirt?' 'Umm, no not really you look like ____' Or if we're planning to go somewhere and someone looks underdressed I'll give them a serious side-eye look and say 'That's what you're wearing? Judging' and keep walking.
