It seems like the media always puts her on pedestal. I mean she is certainly not on level of legends such as MJ, whitney, janet etc. But media can't stop hyping her up and exaggerating everything she does.

So my question is: Is Beyonce overrated as artist?

I as a Janet Stan, does not feel she's overrated. I also stan for Beyonce. That girl in concert, on that stage is everything.

OT: Bey is hands down the best performer today, and there's no denying she can sing her ass off.

She's accomplished so much in her career, and works very hard.

She's definitely a legend of modern times and I think that's why the media constantly praises her. There's not many contemporary artists who has the talent nor has accomplished half of the things Bey has.

To answer no, she is not. If she were overrated that would mean that some of the other popgirls deserve more praise than they are getting, and since Beyoncé's praise is generally centred around her stage prowess and talents, I can't imagine how anyone else deserves the amount of this praise over Beyoncé.
