Discussion question : Is everybody here happy with the final roster?

I would say that i am.

I like it? Sort of kind of. Its not bad. What I really wanted was a magic user from Fire Emblem, and we got that with Robin, so besides Dixie and Krystal not getting in(who could have replaced Dr. Mario and Dark Pit ) everything else is fine.

TBH, I would have probably just used the new characters a few times and just go back to my mains mostly.

Yeah I'm very happy with it Palutena, Rosalina, Villager, Pacman, Duck Hunt, Bowser Jr. and Wii Fit Trainer are all great additions that I'm hyped to play as. Greninja looks interesting too! I'm a huge KI:U fan so I'm even excited to play as Dark Pit. I don't really care about Fire Emblem or Punch Out or Megaman, but I think it's good Awakening got some representation. And I know Little Mac and Megaman are highly requested so I'm okay with their inclusion even if I don't care about them.

One thing is no Mewtwo. I'm not even that big of a Mewtwo fan but he deserves in more than Lucario. But oh well, he will probably be DLC.

I like clones a lot. They're super easy to make and makes the roster bigger. I wish we had more. I want Wigglytuff, Raichu, Daisy, Galacta Knight, Medusa(Palutena Clone), Mrs. Pacman, and more! I know that none of those would happen, but I wish we at least got alt costumes.

How do people get the codes?

Mrs. Pacman and Daisy could have been super easy alt costumes for both Pacman and Peach, I find it strange why some characters got some and some didn't. The choosing process overall is strange

I have more complaints about the organization of the roster than the roster itself.

But Dark Pit and Dr. Mario are frustrating inclusions. I accept Lucina for being a clone given her role in her game. DK and Zelda franchises deserved another rep in my opinion.

I can't really think of anyone who isn't a character that I would have liked to have seen other than Paper Mario with a unique moveset involving him folding into things and making use of his party members.

I think the roster would be more exciting right now if we were not given all the newcomers up front. Duck Hunt and Bowser Jr. are not really the most exciting secret newcomers.

If anybody has a European code that they'd share,it would be much appreciated.Dying to see how this works on 3DS!!

In terms of new characters, I'd say I'm very happy. Duck Hunt Dog, Rosalina, Palutena, Greninja, Bowser Jr., Mega Man, Little Mac and Wii Fit Trainer are all awesome additions. Even The Villager, Mii people, Shulk and Robin seem pretty good, though none of them are my first choices.

I am kind of bummed about Lucina, Dr. Mario and Dark Pit being included, Ganondorf not getting a new moveset, Zelda losing the ability to change in to Sheik (I get it was done to nerf her for competitive, but **** competitive; fun should come first), Ice Climbers, Snake, Ivysaur and Squirtle shouldn't have been cut, etc.

Overall I'd give it a 9/10. I think they're smart for not adding all of the fan favorites because now they have DLC characters and they also have more characters to release in the next iteration.

I agree. They should have never announced Sonic, Lucario, or Ike. Keep them hidden. Fans will assume they were cut. Announce Bowser Jr. and his 7 alts instead of Rosalina and keep her hidden. Announce Miis at original E3 2013 instead of Megaman and keep him hidden all this time. At E3 2014 instead of Miis/Palutena/Pacman, announce Dark Pit/Dr. Mario/Palutena. After the Shulk announcement, our final announcement is Pacman.

So here would be the newcomer timeline- Villager, WFT, Miis announced at E3 2013. Bowser Jr announcement(instead of Rosalina). Little Mac announcement. Greninja announcement. Dark Pit, Dr. Mario, Palutena at E3 2014. Lucina & Robin announcement. Shulk announcement. Pacman announcment.

Then our hidden newcomers are: Rosalina, Megaman and Duck Hunt. Lucina, Dark Pit and Dr. Mario are still locked though.

Also I'd like to add that I wanted practically everyone to be locked. But it seems Nintendo wants everyone they announced to be available front and center except the clones. So I went with that.

Eh it's average. There aren't gonna be many newcomers who I'll use - Greninja and Robin for sure. Anything outside of that depends if I like playing with them, or they're just another basic flop. TBH I don't even know who 80% of these newcomers are.

I don't like how they included those useless clones either (I get Lucina, simply because of promoting Awakening), but the other two are just useless. The layout looks tacky and the positioning looks stupid.

Honestly the only character I desperately wanted was Mewtwo and after them saying he "might" be in and he's a "priority" for it not to happen is disgraceful when these trashy newcomers and flop clones get in...

The only other thing i wanna complain about is the number of unlockables. You have 48 characters (49 including Mii Fighters) and you make 30+ starting characters? Gorl bai. A smaller starter roster would leave more to unlock. This should have been the starting roster imo:

the only dissatisfaction with the roster I have is no ice climbers + dr Mario and dark pit. Other than that it's literally flawless.
