Agreed. It doesn't need a rapper.
If it were the single, though, I think it would need a reworking because production-wise, it's really clunky and kind of all over the place. The verses are new-age trap, the chorus is half Kesha over mediterranean-lite folk, half late 90's Shakira pop/rock with a dash of Eastern influence, and the bridge is a tribal/jungle dance break Timbaland would have given Britney in 2003. Don't get me wrong--it's catchy as hell, the melodies are strong, and I love it, but I couldn't wrap my head around it the first few times I heard it. I think it could use some polishing and stripping back. I think it would be much stronger, and the extremely strong melodies would really pop out much more if it were new-age trap throughout (an 808 instead of the various drums--especially that kickdrum--in the chorus,) with the breakdown kept in tact. Part of what made "Dark Horse" and "Roar" such massive hits, in my opinion, were the melodies -- the production was slick, but it was extremely minimal.
Regardless, the next single needs to be reworked in some kind of way, and that version needs to be the one rolled out to radio and iTunes from the get-go. Prism is still selling, but digital sales would really benefit from a single that hasn't been available to stream/purchase/pirate for the past eleven months.
