Yes she is. Mariah is a legend in Japan. She's above all the other girls

But I think of the more contemporary pop girls, Avril is certainly the Queen. She's been slaying for a decade there, so even if she has underperformed this era her previous achievements are still fantastic.

I can't at Monsters trying to drag Avril for selling 20k less than ARTPOP when Avril is 13 years deep in her career and still making the best of it, despite all the trouble she's having/has had. Take several seats, Monsters because Avril's the queen of Japan

Gaga is one of few western acts to have a single certified MILLION there with Born This Way, ARTPOP is 2013's biggest western release, not to mention thanks to Applause she became the most awarded western act in VMA Japan history. Oh and she's just after slaying three sold out stadium dates there with artRave.

Michael's Thriller is the 7th best-selling Western album there of all time. His touring there was immense too.

And obviously Gaga is a megastar in Japan too!
