Lately, I've been seeing guys here complaining about Youtubers being celebrities. First off I would appreciate if you guys posted WHY you think they're NOT celebrities.


The most famous Youtuber gets on average $1,000,000 a year.

Now I agree that viners shouldn't be called celebrites but give Youtubers some credit.

Also I would appreciate if you posted your favorite Youtuber.
I love: Jenna Marbles, Kingsley, Shanaynay, IISuperwomanII and Tre Melvin.

Youtubers also have a loyal fanbase.

It feels like they are acting solely to catch people's attention, I'm not interested in what they are offering at all.

Yes, in this internet obsessed culture (which I am part of I guess). Some of the really work hard to create content that sometimes millions of people watch and follow.

People need to accept that the status of a celebrity changed and that YouTubers are entertainers.

Sort of, but my idea of a celebrity would probably have to appear in the news a lot - which youtubers don't.

I'm saying! I mean they get to walk red carpets, entertain and make money off of it and have a loyal fanbase who pays to see them.

I don't think they're not celebrities [minor ones at the very least]. I just think they're celebrities for stupid reasons considering that most of them are corny as hell.
