Justin Bieber reportedly remained calm in a second deposition on Thursday, despite being asked if he had “brain damage” and questioned over historically hot topic, girlfriend Selena Gomez, in a hearing for an ongoing civil lawsuit brought against him by a Miami photog.
“As of today, what is your relationship with Selena Gomez?” DiCowden asked the singer.
“We’re dating,” Bieber replied.
“You mean, you’re boyfriend-girlfriend?” the lawyer pressed.
“We are,” Justin confirmed.
“Do you have brain damage?” the opposing counsel asked.
“I don’t,” Bieber replied, without emotion or inflection.
DiCowden persisted, asking, “Have you been diagnosed with a neurological condition that would prevent you from remembering?”
“No,” the singer answered.
DiCowden previously told media outlets he intends to depose Gomez in the Binion lawsuit, to ask her about what she knows of a particular alleged incident and other questions.
The starlet was with Justin during an alleged May 2012 incident in which paparazzo Jose Osmin Hernandez Duran alleges he was punched and kicked by Bieber in a parking lot at The Commons shopping mall in Calabasas, California, after allegedly taking photos of the couple during a date and not stopping when asked.
Fast forward to July 2014, Gomez stated she had no new information in a non-videotaped deposition for Duran’s subsequent civil lawsuit against Bieber.

Why is this out again? Are they sabotaging him or his team cant keep anything private. A tape of him peeing was out just a month ago!?
These are the questions asked when you can't remember if you've been to Australia or answer simple questions with "I don't recall."
He was trolling them though. He wasn't under oath. His legal team would have advised him to answer the question however he wanted to, if at all, and probably would have told them to just waste their time so they didn't have anything they could use against him (like a confession).

And now as a result of that trolling/terrible legal advice from yes-men, Justin Bieber has to sit a second deposition and take questions like these ones. There's no clause for "trolling" and so it easily falls under scope to ask him a question like this considering he couldn't remember anything according to the minutes of the last deposition.
Pardon if this sounds a bit ignorant, but are they allowed to ask anything they want in a deposition? I've watched a few deposition videos, and many questions have absolutely nothing to do with the charges that the deposed person is being faced with.

Asking him if he has brain damage was so inappropriate.
They could have simply asked if he ever tested or has been diagnosed with mental health issues, if they absolutely had to ask a question like that.
That could range anywhere from depression to paranoia.
