I don't think its a big deal. The demographic that Trisha appeals to isn't really hip into illegal downloading, and country isn't the biggest singles market anyway. Although I'm ready to buy it

But it still kills a bunch of sales imo

I hope she won't do this with the lead single. As much as I need it, I prefer it to have a perfect release.

I don't think sales matter that much with this song though. And I'm sure Kelly's lead single will have a proper release schedule, RCA won't mess around.

Early this year I got to spend a lot of time with Jay Joyce, and he was talking about doing a deal with Warner/Chappell. It sounded really elaborate. How is what you guys are doing with him different from what usually happens in Nashville?

The fact that he lives in the 615 area code, it’s just the best thing for this area. Jay has this church that he’s converted into one of the most cool recording facilities in the U.S. It’s amazing. So it’s just really fun to work with Jay. I mean, at the same time he’s doing the new Halestorm record for Atlantic; he’s doing Little Big Town’s record; he’s do - ing a brand-new band, Coin; doing stuff with Kelly Clarkson; doing stuff with Carrie Underwood. The diversity is just mind-boggling. And so he’s been de - veloping some artists as part of our deal as well, which we’re really excited about. He just lives and breathes that studio. Everything about Jay is all mu - sic, 24/7 music. This just gives him the opportunity to develop more talent.

Yeah, there was something about Jay Joyce working with Kelly some time ago, although we weren't sure if it was about some past recording or some future one. This seems that it's meant for Kelly's upcoming albums.
