But at the end of the day, regardless of self identification, there are only two genders. It's actually rather offensive to consider trans an actual gender... If they were born a female/male mentally then that is their gender. So pansexuality is basically bisexuality, right?

Third, Fourth, Fifth gender
Although, from Wikipedia
Quote:
The concepts of "third", "fourth" and "some" genders can be somewhat difficult to understand within Western conceptual categories.

I guess I'm ignorant.

Okay, and just because someone doesn't want to be acknowledged as a female or male doesn't mean they have a 3rd gender.
Not trying to seem all against it (since am LGBT ofcourse and would support someone being it) but they aren't legally recognized in almost any country, and just choosing not to be recognized as a male or female doesn't take away the fact....you are a male or female.

You mean sexes. There's a difference. There are people that are hermaphrodites tho. You misgender them.

The gender continuum is an extension of the gender spectrum to include additional gender identities. The traditional gender spectrum (itself an extension of the limiting gender binary) is linear (1-D), from 100% male to 100% female, with various states of androgyny in between. A continuum is multidimensional, allowing third gender, fourth gender, fifth gender, agender or genderless, as well as many other possibilities and combinations, thus much more accurately reflecting the true diversity of human genders. One benefit of viewing gender as a continuum, rather than a spectrum, is that we have a less structured mold to fit into when it comes to our sexual identity. The continuum approach to gender identity gives a person much more personal freedom in which to express themselves. Because of the rigidity of the gender binary system, young men and women have become confined within the social parameters of their demographic.

Yep.
Also, bisexual people are only attracted to binary genders. Pansexuals are attracted to Binary + non binary.

It is disgusting to think that any type of sexuality, as long as it harms no one, is disgusting to someone else.

This thread was a joke, but now it progressed into a more serious discussion.
It needs to have it's own discussion with a serious title and OP

'They aren't legally recognized in almost any country'.
3 countries out of 196.
Point still stands.

So essentially men and women.

Umm no. There are people who identify as both genders, people who identify as neither, people who are gender-fluid and more. It's not just as simple as male or female.

The OP and title should change so the discussion can continue. It's rather interesting

There are more than two genders. There are only two sexes (arguably three). Gender is how you choose to identify yourself and sex is what you're born as based on your genitalia.

That's not PC madness. It's a category of genders. There's not only male and female in this world. Gotta acknowledge that. That's the cis gender. Socially promoted centuries ago. Some are hermaphrodites.
