Yes it is.

I consider people starving themselves to death to stay skinny a MUCH more serious problem than people being overweight from eating too much, and possibly eating more because of "shaming."

And those kinds of people are used to responding to pressure by increasing their starving habits, so if people criticize/attack them for their skinniness, they're likely to retreat further into their self-harm.

So why do we tell anorexics/bulimics to eat a sandwhich/go to rehab and overeaters to love the bodies they have?

I don't buy that, for the most part obese people are told they're lazy, disgusting and to stop eating junk.

Anyone suffering an eating disorder, whether it be anorexia or over eating should seek help. It's a mental health issue and needs proper treatment.

The people that get fat shamed aren't even the super obese people anyways. People will shame anyone that isn't the perceived "ideal" weight. Even though there is no science to back up their claims.

Bad people always need someone to shame. They aren't allowed to shame race anymore, so they have moved on.
