I guess that's what they are doing, I think she sold have released another single just to make sure she'll get that 1m copies and reach 1.5m WW.
And her singles are doing really great so far, so I don't see any reason why not to release a last one, they were thinking about it with PM anyways.
Well, that's unless they are working hard on her second album.
They're already looking for songs for her second album, and plans to start recording are set for January (aiming for a summer release). So I guess they decided to close up shop and concentrate on preparing for the new era.
Even with that in mind though, I do not know why they didn't consider a fourth single. They had the time to do it...they should have released Freeze in October, and then they could have put out Permanent Monday or See My Side in Jan. or Feb. as a last single to take her through the first part of the year (I hate See My Side but I know an earworm when I hear it and See My Side would be a hit IMO). Then by the time that died down it would have been time for the new single from the second album.
Oh well, guess we will just have to look forward to summer '09 now.
There were soooo many single-worthy songs on her album.
To me, "Freeze" "Next To You" and "Now You Tell Me" would've done amazing. I also think that "Shy Boy" "Young and In Love" or "Permanent Monday" could've worked as well. Her label really could've done more singles if they wanted.
I like her alot but I just think she's too balnd, people are gonna forget about her really quick.
She should have released another single just to stay a bit more relevant till her next album.
I really hope that this time her first single from her next album will be solid and she could take off like she deserves to.
I was listening to my local CHR station, and it started playing this song. It started with a piano at the beginning and the rhythm sounded like "Permanent Monday". I was freaking out! I don't really like the song that much, but hey, maybe it would be a hit if it is already getting played on my local station. Turned out if was John Mayer song.
I don't know why people are calling her "bland" and referring to her as unsuccessful. Last time I checked, her album has pushed 950,000 copies and she has she's had three singles inside the Top 20, two in the Top 10, and one to go to Top 5...out of the three singles she's released. I think that's GREAT.
