You were a beast and could have won.
I know my score mighT be lowered a biT for This section, because ATRL is a predominately pop friendly forum, but I honestly believe I'm Real is Jlo's best single, because it she's her diversity as an artist. I also think that this is her best Urban song. The vocals are good, & it has a nostalgic vibe to it.
This song is utter trash, I shouldn't even have to explain why. There's too much going on with the beat, the lyrics are repetitive & very dull. Not to mention J.Lo sounds as flat as Taylor Swift's original booty () jokes aside, the song is cringeworthy. And Flo Rida's kindergarten rhymes didn't help the song at all.
Jennifer Lopez's best video, without a doubt would have to be play. I mean, it's the early 2000's, so OF COURSE it's space themed & futuristic. The fact that it's 13 years old & still looks somewhat fresh & much better than a lot of current videos says a lot. The special effects slayed, the Choreography slayed, her looks slayed & she serves a circa 2007 Beyoncé from the BDay era tea. Which never hurts
Over the past few days I was given the task of transforming myself into a stan of pop icon, Katy Perry. Katy Perry has captivated me over the days with her catchy and candid pop music. From songs like "This is How We Do" to her older songs like "Ur So Gay", Katy's discography has numerous gems. Anyone from young to old can enjoy some Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson. Since Katy's got such a great discography, I decided to compile a list of songs that were amazing but just could not fit any the qualifications of the 3 categories I was given.
6 Katy Tracks That Didn't Make It
"Thinking of You" by Katy is such a big step away from her typical music of fun party-ish pop music. TOY is something anyone can relate to. Listening to Katy's vocals in the song can truly speak to a person. This song is Katy's best single as the emotion in her voice is much stronger than any other song and everything about the song feels so raw. It's nothing Katy had ever done before. Even though it never became a huge #1 hit like many of Katy's other songs, this song speaks to me on levels no other Katy songs ever could. Thinking of You is always paid dust by my fellow Katy Kats and I find that to be a crime as this song is so different, catchy, and overall just amazing.
It was hard to pick a bad single by Katy considering how solid her discography and how good her and her team are at picking out a hit. However, after a quick relistening to Prism, the choice for worst single was obvious. Prism is such a solid album full of potential hits (Walking on Air, Ghost, International Smile, etc.) but Katy decided to release Birthday, by far the worst song on the album as a single. Generic, boring, etc. I am NOT a fan of Birthday. At first this was an "Okay well.. Maybe the video will be good" Nope! The video that went with Birthday was an even bigger mess than the song itself. I mean most of my fellow Kats have completely disowned the video and claimed the lyric video as the official video. (Even the general public agrees the video sucks. See the views, yikes!)
Such a good video. I love everything about this. With the fashions and looks throughout the video as soon as I saw the video for This is How We Do I was in love! Everything about the video is absolute ART. When Gaga said ARTPOP this is what she meant to do! I love all the props and scenes. Especially the opening 60s inspired mod look. So chic and unique. Honestly, I have no idea why these lame ass people haven't been watching this video non stop. The cute dancing cartoon characters at the end alone make it stream worthy! Seriously though, the video is killer and I have lost count of how many times I've watched it. Buy This is How We Do on iTunes today! And DEFINITELY stream the video today!

Location: Hopeless Place
NP: Te Amo
Explanation: All my choices were used to reflect myself and Rihanna.
All tied in by a common theme: Love + Myself. Custom Title: A play on my favorite Rihanna song, with Girl changed to Boy,
to represent me of course. Avatar: Representing the sex kitten side of Rihanna. The contrast
of her gun tattoo and beauty is badass. I also have many tattoos. Location: A hopeless place represents the amazing WFL.
A clever way to show my state of mind at the minute. I found love. NP: One of my favorite Rihanna songs ever.
It also ties in to the 'love' theme throughout and my name, Cupid.
Explanation:
I have a little OCD when it comes to ATRL Profiles. I like everything to be neat and perfect. When it came to designing my signature, I wanted something stylish and classy. I included little love heart arrows, as a little play on my name, Cupid. I linked the Rihanna Base with the title "#R8". Something a lot of Navy members on ATRL are doing, in promotion to her upcoming 8th album. I also linked my ATRL Game, to tie in my personality in the signature. After that I used a Rihanna quote which I found to be very representative of myself. Music is indeed in my DNA, I couldn't live without it. Underneath that, I finished the signature off with the trademark Rihanna "R" logo.

Best Single- Only Girl (In The World)
Very few songs get the status of 'Pop Perfection', but this is one of those. From the lyrics, to the production, and insanely catchy beat, to the vocals.. Everything about this song is perfect. The accompanying music video showcases her beauty and iconic looks (the red hair). Simply put, this is Rihanna at her very best. Effortless, trend-setting, stylish.
Worst Single- We Ride
There's not much to choose from, even a bad Rihanna single is still pretty much average, not even saying this because of the challenge either. Sadly this song probably qualifies as her worst. Sure, it might be fun for a little nostalgia, but overall it's a bit of an R&B snoozefest. Thankfully she's come a long way from these Ashanti style songs and matured into her own artist.
Best Music Video- We Found Love
You might be thinking, this is an obvious choice.. But sometimes the most obvious choice is in fact the correct choice. This is Rihanna's magnum opus in terms of video. The imagery is just beautiful, cinematic and spectacular. From the spoken-word intro, to the artistic and edgy cutaways, this truly is an epic tale of love depicted by video. Hate me or not for picking the obvious choice, but I just had to. It's truly iconic.
