The whole "acting white" b.s. isn't limited just to the black community. I was accused in high school a couple of times of being a "white-wannabe".

Apparently I was supposed to be a gangsta chola in order to retain my true Latina membership.

what does acting white mean though? in my experience people use it to mean being preppy, reserved, and intellectual. does it mean something else now? because if thats still what people mean by that, then its really sad that black people have internalized racism so much that they see a black person who doesnt act like stereotypes (the ones many are trying to dispell) as something wrong or strange
