Not the homophobic countries in the world being the poorest ones. This says a lot, they can't even improve the life condition of their citizens

Anyway, this is sad. I feel for people who were born there and have to live their entire lives in hiding. Is there a way for them to leave the country?

They'll first go backwards before going forwards. I think there's a pattern tbh.. I expect most African countries to repeal those laws in about 30 years (or when first world countries but sanctions on them aka no government donations), and in about 50 years have legalized marriage in most states. I expect Namibia to be next, and Gambia/Uganda to be last. It's sad how these bishops from the US came to these countries to spread anti-gay thoughts, blaming them for mass genocides and such.

They didn't have many of the issues that they have today, before everyone forced them into the style of governing the rest the western world had. If you look in a credible Word History textbook, you can learn that Africa had two of the most most successful civilizations in the world.

Indirectly, yes. They Europeans brought Christianity over and made many of them convert. Maybe if the African tribes still maintained their original animistic religions, they probably would have been much more tolerant today.
