Taylor Swift may appeal to more people numerically, but they appeal to the same type of people, it's really not even up for a debate.
Taylor does appeal to more people in the same demographic numerically, and she also appeals to a more diverse demographic simply looking through how strong her albums sales are. One can justify that her demographic is older than Katy's if they're always ready to purchase a large quantity of her music -- albums and singles -- in its release week and weeks after too.
She is a songwriter, she writes about her life experiences, no matter what they might be.
Why is it wrong for her to call someone out if they've wronged her?
There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Its obviously a incident that upset her greatly no matter how minor it might seem to others.
