Oh one thing I just realized: Look at Rowling still slaying when Potter's been over for years and her adult stuff isn't a big deal, while, say, Stephenie Meyer's nowhere to be seen despite her movie franchise ending a year and a half after Harry Potter.
[Not to mention the adaptation of bestselling book The Host, which flopped just last year.]
