Now that Serena's reached 18, I hope she can relax more next season at the slams. She didn't even play her best at this one but cruised through it, never losing more than 3 games in a set.

Even if she doesn't make it to 22, I thought it was kind of obvious that Serena is the GOAT. I mean could you imagine the slaughter if Serena Williams played back then? The field of talent was much inferior back then than it is now and Serena is still dominating.

Agreed. Graf is still the GOAT at present, and Serena has to go all out into her mid-thirties to take that mantle away from her. No more one-slam seasons, it's just not going to be enough to catch Graf.

Serena surpassed Evert today. She will surpass Navratilova with one more slam, then we can worry about Steffi.
