I love it
My sim is following the successful lineage aspiration. Right now he's about to get a promotion to level 5 of the programming career, and he managed to seduce, woohoo, and engage with Nina Caliente in a single night. Slay I'm gonna marry them and get started on the kiddos once he gets his promotion.

Okay... This game is getting kinda messy. They used the lack of Open World as an excuse to introduce better optimization and performance, but a lot of people are stating that the longer you play the game, the longer loading times between lots take and performance issues ensue. LGR (Youtuber) even uploaded a test video to prove it and I can confirm I'm also having this problem and I have a high-end system. What's their excuse now?
The game hangs at times whilst the Sims interact with things, the game hangs when on the gallery, the game hangs on startup since downloading VERY FEW gallery items, and loading times are getting gradually longer and longer...
The game is great, though. Aside from the aforementioned issues, It's my favourite base game now.

I'm kind of bored with it right now. I always do this with new games, though. I'm trying to play it for at least an hour every other day. I still love the game, I just get bored once I've "established" my sims and want to destroy them.

My loading screens have always been 15 seconds world to world, and 10 second lot to lot.
The only long loading screen I've though "um why is this taking so long?" is loading the Secret Worlds.
And I'm using an old white MacBook

& really? This is my second fave, because nothing will beat The Sims 2 for me. Maybe in time it will though.

You should try leveling up all your Sims Careers etc.
I get bored unless I focus on unlocking all the objects and getting level 10 careers etc.
I do the same on The Sims 2 and Sims 2 console games.
I think that's why I got bored on The Sims 3. There was no point in playing the same thing over and over. Apart from Career's, you didn't really have anything to work towards.
---
The Sims 3 did have lifetime aspirations, but so does the Sims 4 and they are much harder now so..

I'm not sure. A few simmers with decent gaming systems seem to have issues with the game. I'm assuming maybe the game has been prioritized towards lower-end hardware to the extent that most higher-end hardware wasn't really tested and thus is resorting in some weird conflicts. I'm assuming this may be the case since a lot of people with weaker systems are having a more fluid experience.

I favor The Sims 4 as a base game due to fluid Sim interactions and the improve build mode. If you considering any community lots and neighbourhood stuff then TS2 definitely wins, but I care more for the former, so I'm really favoring TS4 base atm. The Sims 2 is definitely just under it or just on level with it (maybe I'm being a bit overzealous and caught in the moment).

Yeah this is happening to me too. The loading screen times are becoming longer. But whatever the game slays and I love the smoothness.
My computer is also brand new so your theory on it working better on low end specs might be right.

Has anyone used SkidRow for their copy yet?
I'm almost finished downloading from them but idk whether their crack sorts the issue with the pixelation or if that's something else, since they don't have anything on their site about it.

it doesn't fix the pixelation but to fix the pixelation mosaic effect you have to rename the par file (TS4.par) to The.Sims.4.Launcher.PAR

Is that literally it?
So install the crack as usual, change that file name and I'm good to go?
(I know there's probably more, like the close Origin thing or whatever but) Thanks!

There's other stuff that helps the game run a bit less buggier.

Once everything is installed and the crack/ updates are placed, set file properties to these settings for these files:
TS4.EXE properties:
Read Only: True
Compatibility: WinXP SP 3
Disable Display Scaling : True
Run as admin: True
The.Sims4.Launcher.EXE properties:
Read Only: True
Compatibility: WinXP SP 3
Disable Display Scaling : True
Run as admin: True

Origin Settings:
Open Origin and go to "Origin>Application Settings>Origin In Game" and make sure all options off.
|
Also make sure to set offline mode on within origin before starting the game (and disable online access within the sims 4 setting as well) You need origin open in order to run the game but it's recommended to make a fake account and play Sims 4 on your fake origin account.

Go to settings in game. Go to last tab. (The one that says connect online and other options) turn all off.

Disabling your antivirus if it detects some files of the game as a threat to help ensure the game doesn't crash.

Before you start the game typing this command helps
Turn off DEP with by Run CMD.exe [Run as Admin]
Type Command>>>
bcdedit.exe /set nx alwaysoff
|
After all that then Right click launcher and run as Admin and there ya go!
Note: You won't have to change the file properties every time when you play just save the settings and you're set.
Quote:
When done enable DEP again in CMD.exe
Type Command>>>>
bcdedit.exe /set nx alwayson
|
This is a lot but it really does help because my game doesn't really crash anymore.

Anyone having a glitch where your sims only have baby boys? It's so annoying, out of 5 households that have had children, EVERY baby has been male.

Oh my god, thank you so much! I'm gonna mess around with Create-A-Sim for the first time while I wait for my download to finish but seriously thank you for that, I was having a hard time finding one place telling me how to play the game best with a crack.
