If we are talking about the current state and also in a short span of time, then Britney and Gaga are not even A-listers. They flopped hard with their latest albums.

But if it is more about the legacy that they have built, the A-listers would be Madonna, Cher, Mariah, Janet, Bey, Brit, Rihanna, Gaga, Katy and perhaps Adele and Taylor.

Some of you are doing the most by stating she was invited to the Oscars. If she were that important, she would have been invited herself, not through Donatella. Besides, media didn't care bout Gaga that day, she was completely ignored during the ceremony. Important musicians are usually invited to sing, except for J.Lo whom I believe is a member of the Academy or something.
