The Meredith Vieira Show booked a huge guest for the very first episode!
Former Today co-host Meredith Vieira will interview Jennifer Lopez for the first episode of her new NBC talk show, The Meredith Vieira Show. The premiere episode airs Monday, Sept. 8.
For the first week of the show, Vieira also booked Seth Rogan and wife Lauren Miller, former Spice Girls' singer Mel B, Olympic swimmer Amy Van ****n-Rouen, comedien Howie Mandel, and actress Jessica Alba.

An amazing reporter, interviewer and person, but after the fate of Katie Couric's show with her departure to Yahoo, I can't see this lasting more than 2 seasons.
She and Katie Couric have always reminded me of each other.
I feel like Meredith is going for an image that has already been done in the talk show world many times, but I could be wrong and she could end up surprising. I appreciate Queen Latifah's new show because she has a distinct personality, and her show is more funny and actually entertaining to watch than a lot of other talk shows. QL & Ellen definitely have the best talk show personalities in today's television.

hmmm i find Katie's show pretty boring and Meredith is pretty similar to her so idk how this will turn out. i feel like they are more fit for news interviews than fun talk shows - they dont have personalities like Ellen, Kelly & Michael, or Wendy to draw people in. Katie's show feels like i'm watching a Dateline interview or something
