Dope isn't emotional in its slightest. I would assume a James Blake listener like yourself would know the difference. I guess not?

It has cheesy and awful lyrics, the production is minimal NOT in a good way, and no one was here for the spirit of Gaga on ARTPOP. Everybody wanted club bangers (which we didn't get imo). We wanted the ballad stuff for ACT II which was a mess in itself from the get-go. Guess what, it never happened! AP as a whole feels rushed, basic and utterly tiresome. Everybody was complaining about the production of BTW and BTW sounds like a golden sheep from heaven compared to AP.

You know I'm right though.

There are a few lines that are a bit questionable, but it still manages to be sincere and strong in its message. It is the emotional highlight of the record. Slant and Consequence of Sound generally do not lie, and they did not lie about "Dope". Stop trying iT!

Gypsy is way too cheesy to be taken seriously. It's a fun song but it's not really emotional, at least not the album version.

I'm my own critic (Gaga LM message teas) And Slant and CoS are terrible reviewers, but I guess sir if you say so...

But seriously, which one of you pressed souls reported me? Get some sense of humor. I expect nothing less from Gaga fans. You know, I really was a true Gaga fan back in the day. Do not think I'm trolling. I've got probably way more experience with her music than all of you combined, just saying Do NOT give me WPs for that Retro. You know I'm only bringing enthusiasm back to threads like these...

I've been playing Dope and Aura on repeat, two of the best songs from last year.

Dope on Howard Stern will always remain superior to the album version.

Except they are two of the most reputable critic sites out there. Stop trying.

Exchange "Aura" from your playlist with "Sexxx Dreams". Now THAT is a proper electronic dance/club song. That beat is heavenly!

I love Infected Mushroom so Aura is perfect. I love how completely ugly it sounds. Sexxx Dreams is fine, it has a cool sound.

Dope is literally perfect, I can't believe people here don't like it. Her best ballad.

Let ha GRASP for straws. Just because I don't play the songs anymore does not mean I don't know which are the best.

Speaking of Aura, what made her think those new vocals on the first verse were cute? Why were they approved to be on the album, much less on the opening track? Questions, questions, questions...
