Summerboy is so bizarre on The Fame. I mean, it's like, her best album track, but it doesn't sound like much of anything on the record. Like a direction they were thinking about heading in but changed their minds.

OMG @ Retro - imagine Brooklyn Nights being reworked as a lead single for Artpop. It's the perfect kinda power ballad and since the last single that was really remembered by Gags was You and I, it would be sorta poetic and interesting to hear a song about the destruction of that relationship.

Not to mention that the beat in the song pulls hard, it's kinda like a fading heart that is still pulling forward despite it all. Wow, this really could have been Gaga's Bleeding Love.

Plus it's so simple, catchy, and relatable while still having a distinct "this is Lady Gaga" feeling.

Not to mention how interesting it is that the song was almost definitely written well after Gaga and Taylor had started dating already. It's a very intriguing window into how she feels about Luc.
