No, his music hasn't showed much growth since he begin. I will admit X is amazing! I still like his music but a lot of it's sounding the same.

Let me break it down.

He beat the **** out of Rihanna. This was not an isolated incident, he's had numerous other temper tantrums in public as well.

Beating the **** out of her, on top of all his other antics, makes him a truly godawful person. He deserves to be put into a real life Saw Movie type situation.

A truly godawful person, whether their music is good or not, deserves no fame or recognition for said music. The act of praising Chris Brown is an act of supporting domestic violence.

So if someone out there even comes close to praising, him, let alone praises him outright, all that should be needed to shut that absurd praise down is a mention of The Unpleasantness.
