I roll my eyes and try to ignore. Whenever I go to concerts there's a lot of this **** while waiting. A bit different since it's done to praise the act that's performing but it's the most annoying thing that people can't compliment an artist without needing to insult others/entire genres.
But judging by ATRL the majority of pop fans dismiss artists completely unless there's hit potential. Just look at that poor fka twig review thread lol. Music snobs are a minority fighting for justice in a deaf world
Pop stans will routinely drag there own faves music for genre related reasons, claim they are above it and claim they speak for everyone in the process. Music snobs exist in all spheres and they are all just as annoying.
The comments in the OP are not elitists in any sense of the word, they're just plain stupid dimwits who are programmed to seek self-validation by trying to go "against the norm" and parading the whole world about how "cool" they are.
