Probably just how psycho my drama teacher was. Like she was literally a bit insane and so utterly controlling. Like to do drama we had to get changed into our P.E. gear because I guess it's sort of an active subject, so sure, so we got changed in this wee room, one for boys and girls, but the thing was she made us leave our bags in that room and we had to bring our stuff into the classroom. If we forgot something we needed, she'd give us a study hall which means we'd be stuck in a classroom for an entire lunch break. Like our bags would be like 10 steps away just in this little closet room thing - it was NOT normal.
She was obsessed with the schools rules and reflections, and she'd make us write a reflection on every lesson. When we had our big class production, she kept wasting our time by making us lie on the ground and breathe and all this hippie **** when we NEEDED to practice our play. We did ONE run through of this big play before we performed it for real, and it showed. It was this army-themed play and I literally came on in one bit and did the total wrong scene and everyone else just went along with me for some reason.

So later on in the play we did the exact same scene again and the audience was so confused, and then the music cues were all fkd up. But I still blame the teacher for that - I knew the lines, we just hadn't been able to do any run throughs and I had NO idea what the cues were.
She's the reason I gave up on drama and acting cause she made it SUCH an unpleasant experience.
