So my voice is soft as hell and I have this annoying ass gay lisp
in the gay voice thread people said they could hide it.


How do you hide it?

Please someone! Dx My friends have noted that I talk without it around my parents or when I'm talking to hot straights and that's entirely without me noticing me doing it - so apparently I can do it, but not consciously.

And I wish someone would teach me how to talk with the lisp

You kinda just gotta talk deeper when my mom was in denial she would tell me to lower my voice. Meaning to deepen it and try to speak more with enunciating all the vowels

The only thing I can think of is maybe record your voice how it is normally, and listen back to it and hear how it sounds when you talk, then try to correct it by speaking in a deeper tone and record that and just keep doing that until your voice sounds how you want it to.

learn a new language. pick up a new accent. travel and go other places and your lisp will disappear

the gay lisp is something you learned. All you have to do is condition yourself through whatever means you want to speak normally.

Are you out to your parents? I've seen some people say that some gay men unconsciously express more "feminine" characteristics they might've been holding back after they come out. Maybe you're just forcing it around your parents

I understand why you might not want to sound like that, but it's really just because OTHER people (both straights and "masc only!" gays) have made you feel ashamed. Don't be afraid to speak in your natural voice, whatever it may be.
