I said Lauryn could have, it she continued momentum. And her unglamorous look was key to her success. And her solo debut was successful as hell. . She went multi platinum and sold over 10 million copies worldwide not to mention the slew after slew of awards including all those grammys. I remember living in Europe during the hype of her success and hearing her music a lot. She still tours there with that one album until this day. Don't knock her just because it was RnB.
Miseducation was just about as rnb crossover as Dangerously in Love and Bday and those are Beyonce's big sellers.
