I'm So happy For Taylor! She's gonna be platinum next week. her last album took months just to reach 600k and this one sold 1M in just 3 weeks.
The first update is always misleading, that's why this time I tried not to comment on it.
Just wait for the second update which balance things usually.
Sources say Kanye West's "808s & Heartbreak" will sell in the range of 425,000-450,000 units
Guns N' Roses' "Chinese Democracy" is expected to clock in at 250,000-260,000
It's obvious now that the most thing that matters when it comes to selling CDs is longetivity. High first week sales help but if an artist doesn't have longetivity their album will probably go platinum at most which is actually not bad these days, but obviously multi-platinum is better.
I don`t think you do, honestly. And you don`t have to, your taste in music is doubtful.
