They can actually sing and don't really do/say anything offensive

I completely agree with the first part. He was kind of like the male Britney in a sense that he was insanely popular and insanely hated at the same time.
The second part is a bit of a reach, though.


Anyway, i think its pretty much because of the reasons that have already been stated- that his voice, his songs, his hair/face, etc

because 1d is more gay friendly.

Even though they are successful, One Direction don't really have a huge media presence so there is hardly any negative press about them. On the other hand, everything Justin does gets reported.

There are 5 members in 1D compared to only one Bieber. So Justin constantly has all the spotlight on himself and himself only, whereas with 1D the attention is more spread out so not one member has to deal with all the media by themselves.

I hate 1D music BUT!

They seem like friendly guys and are better looking then Justin and well JB is a bit of a wanker
So Ofcourse 1D are more respected than like 5 seconds to summer are more repected than 1D bc they are just
Normal Aussie boys with a bit of fame

Bieber has been the internet's punching bag for almost 5 years now. 1D never had to be in that position. It's not about being more respected than less hated.

1D are having somewhat more success than Bieber had as an artist/teen sensation without any of the negative publicity he had. No wonder they became more successful than him in less time.
