Just read the full interview. A very detailed version of what happened when they met her but I'm certain they got a right impression of her, at least at that day cause we know she tends to change her mind quite often (just like her smoking habits). The background behind the statement is well-explained so it's a bit taken out of context here. And I can't believe I was thinking the right thing before even reading the story: she won't take any responsibility of her music/the promotion because it's not exactly something she would want to give away in the first place, it's a huge part of her privacy and it's a bit of a punch in the label's face to not promote it, they've been quite hypocritical after all.

I love how clumsy she is sometimes, it makes her such a cute and relatable person.
But you can tell, the question about FMWUTTP hurt her somehow, otherwise she wouldn't have finished the interview that rushed. There must be more behind that story than just something Lorde said because she clearly points out that's it's merely impossible to shake her beliefs of life that easily.
