No thanks!

Nobody who is in support of a purge wants to have it so they can crack lighthearted jokes about popular artists for a laugh - they want a purge so they can attack artists, fan bases, and specific people they don't like without any backlash in the form of warning points/bans.
I am even willing to bet that if there WAS a purge, feuds from in-between members would escalate to the point where they are posting private information, including pictures (clothing optional), phone numbers, etc. and people are sending death threats to each other.
Now, let's say there were..."rules" against that type of thing. That would defeat the purpose of a purge. Basically, people just want NHB and WP-free SYG back. I'm also against that, as the only productive thing those ever did for this site was generate traffic - it must not have equated to more money than advertisers are giving, though; we'd still have those things, otherwise - but it'd be a better idea than a completely rule-free purge.
Because...a magical delete button would not work if, say, one member posted another member's nudes on this forum and they ended up spread all over Twitter and other social networking sites to the point where they are on the internet forever.
Anyone who thinks a rule-free purge would stay just on ATRL, and nobody would take it personally, is deluded as all hell.
