What's wrong with that? I am a woman and I do believe in this age we need to not put ourselves in situations that might be dangerous, there's nothing wrong with being cautious especially in this time we are living in.

To people saying it's an exaggeration to liken it to abuse and rape culture, yes at the fundamental level it's not the same as being raped. But ultimately, all of these attitudes mentioned in the article add to rape culture. Women being blamed for situations where they have been exploited or exposed or harmed. Instead of the men perpetuating these crimes upon women being asked to take responsibility for their own actions.

And regardless of how these pictures surfaced, whether Jennifer sent these pictures to someone else or if they were just on her iCloud, it feels ****** to be exposed in a way that you never wanted to be. The fact that so many guys today think it's ok to expose a girl's nudes when their relationship turns sour, and the girl gets shamed instead of him, shows how pervasive rape culture is.

Except women arent the only people that get their nudes leaked. I mean some boyband memeber's nudes got leaked like just last week and this chick wasnt caping then.

The difference is that men are not shamed for exposing themselves in a sexual way like women are.

Stop defending these celebs and making this like a really big deal! This is why these people get paid with millions and millions of dollars while the rest of us work hard to earn a living. They should know what they signed up for and they should know the consequences. I could understand if the pics were really old (pre-fame) and were stolen after they were deleted... But if you're a celeb and they're paying you 10m$ to starr in a movie then I'm sure you can live by the fact that you should never take/send nude pics of yourself it's not that hard.

Nope it isnt. Guys (as in who gets their nudes leaked) just care less, but theyre are no more favored or ridiculed than female nudes.

And its irrelevant because either way intimate photos that werent meant to be seen by a lot of people is in the public domain, so their privacy has been breached same way, male or female. Unless you think men dont deserve privacy.

And I wouldnt call her dumb, just not properly informed, because only an uninformed/dumb person would trust photos like that to another person who has no real allegiance to you, which is basically what you do when you use a cloud service. Thats not your computer, someone is allowing you to use a piece of their hard drive (which is stored God knows where) for a fee. That **** isnt too safe, ESPECIALLY when the Terms of Service clearly state that if your account gets hacked they dont owe you a damn thing. The closest to a somewhat secure cloud service are enterprise services of Google Drive and One Drive.

In my mind its no different what those hackers did in obtaining the pictures than if someone broke into these women's homes and stole photographs. Its a disgusting cfime and those responsible should all be prosecuted to the fullest extent. And anyone excusing the online community aiding in the spread of these pictures or salaciously and shamelessly viewing them should be ashamed anf reevaluate themselves.

Big Smoke, I agree with you in terms of men and women deserve their privacy in the same way. I think why this is blowing out of proportions for these women is that it's the media. And when it comes to sexuality and sexual "scandals" as they say, it's mostly focused on the women. Especially when it has to do with the biggest actress in the world right now.

Seeing how Jennifer is, I think she will have a lot of humility. She isn't afraid to make fun of herself and I'm sure she'll handle it professionally in interviews.
