Tell your mum to go on HRT. The hot flushes are the worst. We'd be eating breakfast and mum would get one, next thing she's butt naked in the kitchen trying to cool down. An absolute mess

Isn't there a cancer risk with HRT? I go to the doctor regularly for my own problems so I might have a word with her since my mum won't listen to anyone.

Yeah breast cancer. She'd obviously have to talk with her doctor to see if it'd be suitable for her in the context of her own personal and family history.

The mood swings? Well unless she's on some kind of hormone replacement they're unavoidable. It's trying at times but whatever you feel, your mum is feeling it 10x worse. It's not a short process either, it can be years for some women. You just have to try and be as understanding and patient as possible. She would've had to do the same when you were a teenager

I hope it's over with as soon as possible. I think she's had it for about a year now but I know it can last up to 10 years for some. Ugh. I was a testy teen but she's always been volatile and we've always had a strained relationship tbh.

I already call her domestic dragon. she gon be a mess
