It's so funny how obsessed people are with Katy. Trying to discredit her hits by saying "I bet you can't name every hit ever!!1!1!!1" is so pathetic and if there are any monsters here that are capable of being objective they'll know how stupid a statement like that is. Like the fact that Katy had so many hits will help her be remembered and no, people won't remember every hit but they will remember enough of them for her to be remembered - that's why she has lots of recurrent hits

Everyone knows Gaga's image is a big part of her career, but her outfits do not overshadow her 150,000,000 records sold or her $400,000,000 in tour gross. To think people buy her music because of her outfits is just an insult for lack of better word. Your logic would make sense if she hadn't sold what she has.

In my opinion, the work will be remembered longer especially considering there's so much negative press around gaga's body of work (not always her fault)

Gaga is known for her crazy fashion, but she is also known for her music. The sales prove this. People flocking to her tours proves this. No one buys a single or an album because of a shiny dress, they do so because they like the music.

Not all hits are remembered. But Katy's seem to be judging by the fact a lot of her songs are recurrent hits (this means they still get airplay and sales despite being years old)
