You sound bitter. Katy has been praising Bey AND her music always. She's been a fan since her DC days.

It's FREE yet it's more accurate. If all those people are such fans why aren't they SPENDING money to see her?

In your world everyone has the time and money to go to the concerts of all the artists they like. In reality, there are different levels of fandom and some people like Katy enough to stream all her music, others to see her YouTube videos, a few to buy merchandise and go to live shows. Music consumption is not about a hyped tour and an album that sells well the first weeks.

Well, good for her. Everyone is free to like whatever they like. I am just saying that Beyonce is the focus of too much media attention which inflates her actual success.

Wrong BEYONCE has sold more WW than PRISM since the US is part of the World.
Katy will never be more global than Beyonce. Beyonce's four albums (DIL, B'Day, IASF and 4) sales minus the US has sold more than Katy's. What is Katy total Sales like minus the US? Compare that to Beyonce's sales minus the US and then we'll talk.

You literally have no idea what you're talking about. Touring is the biggest indicator of your power and pull. It's also the biggest money maker in the music business. Beyoncé only proves even further how much more powerful she is WW with her recent tours grosses. Katy doesn't even compare.
And then when you throw in that Bey has outsold her WW, and is also 2x platinum in the US, it's clear who the more powerful is. She didn't even need #1 hits, or the regular promo run, to do it.

The only reason she is the focus of said media attention is because she IS the entertainer of our generation. How can you get mad and say her success is inflated when the attention is warranted? She is a hugely successful individual.

Again, it's all about ratios.
Considering the length of their careers, Katy is pretty much more relevant worldwide. A fairer comparison would be Beyonce during her third album. If you have touring receipts for that age and we compare them to Katy we have a fair comparison. Albums not so much because with online piracy and streaming, Katy can't sell that many albums. Singles wise Katy wins hands down.

Which generation? Because of the previous one I believe Britney is a strong rival to Beyonce, and of this one Katy, Gaga and Rihanna are the winners until now.

Beyonce total sales for each album sold outside US, a rough estimate, it might not be accurate.
DIL - 4.m
B'Day - 4m
IASF - 3.5m
4 - 2m
BEYONCE - 1.3m
What is Katy's number for outside the US?

Why are you acting like this is an accomplishment that Beyonce can't get hits? and PRISM was a more global era/album. BEYONCE sold more only in US, UK and Brazil while PRISM in France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Australia, Japan, Canada and etc.

I didn't mention anything about sales of any album. Katy came out in the digital era which would explain things like streams, digital sales etc... No not everyone has the money to go but Katy's tickets are cheaper. As she has more fans (as she has higher streams/digital sales) why are they still not flocking to see such a global force

When Katy is done touring they will be compared. Beyoncé sold more albums with her third release. Had a #1 single. Multiple songs on the album are multiplatinum. And the tour grossed over $100M.
Albums are a fair comparison. If you can't sell albums, you can't sell albums. Bey is pricing if you make a great piece of work, the sales will come. And I never said Katy wasn't the singles queen. Although that can be disputed with Rihanna.
