I listened to ARTPOP in the bath today and it is sounding better the further away the era gets. I think my opinion of it was clouded by the mess of the era, and while it will probably always affect my feelings towards the album, I'm enjoying it a lot more.

Gaga had 10m+ more votes for well over a month until her fans stopped caring. The amount of "We need to beat Lady Gaga" tweets I've seen has been embarrassing. I get bragging about album sales, single sales, impact, and touring grosses, but an MTV poll? Well... I guess if you have nothing else to brag about.

Am I the only one that thought Born This Way (song) had a very a gospel vibe, even almost country, upon first listen?

Her magazine spreads this era have been amazing. If there's one thing that has kept my hope alive throughout this era, it's been her magazine spreads.

I did aswell. It's like a disco-country hymn from the 80s that got remixed in 3024 and sent back in time to the 2010s. It's the reason it lends itself so well to being performed acoustically, acapella and in the Country Road version.

BTW is definitely gospel. It's like a sci-fi EDM dance remix of a gospel song.

It was written for Born This Way wasn't it? Jeff said a Born This Way outtake would be on ARTPOP around the same time she announced Brooklyn Nights as a song, so I put two and two together.

I think we all decided that was the case but I remember someone (it was either Bang Up or Opacho) saying it was written for Artpop? Guess we will never know. It sounds like a Born This Way track IMHO.
