People trying to pull up receipts when Taylor sells more in the US alone than some girls can push worldwide. Taylor doesn't need "worldwide relevance", though her albums sell more in Japan than Katy's hihi, because she has monopolized the world's biggest music market back at home. Katy and Miley wish they could push albums as easily, win awards as effortlessly, and fill stadiums with the flick of their wrists.

(She's also bigger than Gaga, but Gaga has sold around the same amount of albums and has grossed more than her on tour so she doesn't apply to what I said.)

Her album sales are due to her country fanbase. There are many country stars and other genre bands that can sell more albums than pop girls, yet pop girls are still far more known to the public than country girls.

WANEGBT had awful longevity and despite that 600k debut, it couldn't even go 4x platinum in sales.

Roar debuted with less and is already 5x platinum

Katy also has a more well known discography outside of the country world.



Taylor is NOT more global than Katy and if Swifties honestly believe that just because of the first week sales of SIO, then I don't know what to say besides learn some common sense. First week sales are always high especially considering her fanbase in America and Canada that will automatically make her debut high on UWC.

Taylor has ONE song on UWC global best singles of all time and it's at 339. Katy has 6 and they are ALL higher than Taylor's ONE song. So let's not.


You can keep your GRAMMYs and American dominated album sales, but everyone who isn't a Taylor stan knows she is NOT that big Worldwide. She isn't unknown, but she is not in the same caliber as Katy, Rihanna, Gaga, etc.

Even if Gaga isn't as liked as she was before and relevant, her name is still far more known than Taylor's
