Didn't Pokemon start that trend? It'd be amazing and most fitting for them to bring it back for this. Especially with ORAS being the first Pokemon remake for the DS generation, it could represent an allusion to the throwback times.

Nah I'll just keep it tbh, I don't wanna play ORAS on a 2DS. I even bought Pokémon Y along with my 3DS XL just to replay the story on a bigger screen and in 3D (I couldn't delete my X file since all my trained Pokémon n stuff are on there)

Thinking about getting a 3DS just for Pokémon and Fire Emblem. I'm not sure what other games there are for it that I would be interested it. I assume there is a Mario Kart for it. I haven't played Pokémon since Heartgold. How much have I missed?

Not much between hgss and bw, but in pokemon xy the 2d animated sprites are now 3d models, you can customize your trainers outfits, skin, hair etc, and you've of course missed like 220 new pokemon + mega evolutions of existing fan favorites like charizard, gyarados, etc

Also, fire emblem awakening ALONE is crack, together they're totally worth purchasing a 3ds

The general mechanics are still pretty much the same though (save for Mega-Evos) so I doubt it'd be too confusing.
