I NEVER said Katy was going to last forever, but she's still slaying with her singles this era, unlike ARTPOP, who had 1 hit, a moderate hit, and the rest of the singles flops, and Beyoncé with 1 hit, two moderate hits, and PH flopping. PRISM has had 2 hit singles, two moderate hits, and NO flops (I'm not counting TIHWD as it's just starting). Katy is the most relevant here.
