This is just a few of the praises she's received. I'm not saying she is a brilliant songwriter or even that she does a lot of the work anymore, but it's obvious she is capable at songwriting and if her career depended on her writing a song on her own, she for sure would put in the time, do her homework, and write a song. Anyone saying that she couldn't letting your opinion of her formulate your response.

The same could be said for other singers as well who don't write but are involved. Just because they don't do it doesn't mean they cannot. Songwriters are very talented but it's not rocket-science to make a pop song. ALSO if we were in a world where every singer had to write their own songs, the competition would be 0. No one else having professional writers means that everyone is pretty much in the same boat.
