I have been friend zoned (late last year), and I am so thankful he did it. We are great friends now, and is one of the only gay friends I have, and I love that I can talk to him about anything.
I also friend zoned a very good friend of mine, and it just works so much better when we are friends than when we are in a relationship, because I always manage to **** those up (I realize I am not ready for a relationship, since I don't like being tied down).

Yes. This girl in junior that I'm still friends with. It was during Valentine's day. I knew she was trying to start something with some other guy, but I still took a chance. Things were kind of awkward for the rest of year, but we grew out of it once senior year started.

I think that was very mature of you to put the sake of your friendship above a romantic relationship.

One thing I learned being friendzoned is that you can't make someone like you. Its about accepting that they ended it before it began than leading you on. Which is why I always say I'd rather be friendzoned than lead on.

Thank you, haha. It isn't always a bad thing. More so than not, relationships end while friendships survive, so I rather have the person in my life at least as a friend because deep down, (and I hope a lot of people share this) I care deeply about that friend.

Been friendzoned three times. All three have ended becoming really close friends of mine tho. First one legitimately broke my heart tho. He insisted he was straight (even though my gaydar went crazy) so I was like "k that makes sense, this isn't gonna work" then a few months after we graduated from college, I found out that he has a boyfriend.

The second one is straight, although I really wish he wasn't.

I met him online and have yet to meet him in RL but I consider him my best friend.

The third is someone I met at work. I'm still holding out hope because I'm an idiot, but tbh I'm just happy that we're good friends.
