Obviously it's not a foregone conclusion, and the power lies in the frustrating unsteady hands of Gaga herself, but it's every bit as likely as the ultimate demise into obscurity that certain vultures in here have been forecasting.

The bolded part is the most pertinent thing to note. Beyoncé has always ran a tight ship, and even if things have been disastrous behind the scenes she's managed to polish it over with a perfect veneer. Plus she's very in tune with what people want. The self-titled album campaign was perfect in the way in which it tapped into instantaneous, viral culture for success, not to mention the songs were current and sounded fresh.
Gaga is a lot more unpredictable and dramatic for that. The AP album campaign was disastrous. Maybe not so much disastrously handled, because the promo lined up was fine, but the way in which day in, day out, fans were left with broken promises (TEMPORARY tour poster) and unprofessional meltdowns on social media - not least the fact that the music had been brought for us straight from 2011.
There comes a point where you realise Gaga has had fallings out within the management for so long now, and yet she still has this self-depricating, victimising attitude.
As someone with a vision as grandiose as hers she's naturally stubborn in opinion. A comeback fundamentally relies on her accepting her own mishaps and being humble enough to receive help, which seems far more unreliable than a household name like Beyoncé causing waves in late 2013.
