I was spanked with belts and hands, but sometimes they used to verbally make me feel bad before so that just made the spanking even worse. Honestly, spankings left me with some deep resentment towards my parents (that I still have to this day), simply because I used to get spanked over the smallest stuff, even when I was telling the truth and defending myself from them. After a point in time, it became a big whatever; feared having my stuff taken more than anything.

I won't spank my child unless the action of what they do is severe, and even then, it won't anything brutal, same as like you said Toya. If they forgot to do something like clean their room (which I got a beating for, which didn't help anything) I won't even bother trying to spank them.

It should be a parent's right to choose how they discipline their kid as long as the child isn't being abused. I don't count spanking as abuse. There's a HUGE pain level leap between smacking your kid on their cushioned behinds and actually hitting or striking your child. People need to realize this.

At first I tried to act like a civilized citizen because I was in public but he tried to show out, so I I literally dragged him out the store by his ear and snap, crackle and popped his ass in my car and called his mom to tell ha I did it.
