Since BTW, people associate her with gay. You like her music = you're gay. You have no idea how many times I've been asked by girls if I were gay cause 'gaga fans are generally gays'. It's just not cool anymore to listen to her if you're not gay. But it wasn't the song, it was the era on its own. The message, the interviews. Everything was about gay people.

I'm actually surprised that Applause sold that much in the US (2.5M). And how well DWUW was received in Europe. The R'n'B vibe probably helped the song a lot. Pretty sure if she serves some good music, the situation could change

Because it was just too much tbh I know she tried to spread love, acceptance and all these stuffs, but it was way too much. She was always saying "you were born this way", talking about gay and all. I'm proud of what she's done, but I understand why some gay people think she exploited them, which is sad. She's still an important gay icon , so that's good.

Tbh, I feel like the only thing that sucks right now is her image. The way people see her / the way she acts. She just needs to just be cool and it's gonna be okay. That + good music could be a great comeback if she wants to.

Same thing we said about the btw era. Now we reminisce it. But the ARTPOP era was messy even though I enjoyed the music.
