Nothing to be sorry about, it's just hard to help when we don't know the rules of the site.
Most sites do have rules against sharing accounts, which is where the 'multiple IPs' worry comes from. However, most sites won't mind the multiple IPs unless one of them matches the IP of another user and therefor suggests that you're sharing accounts and/or have multiple accounts. Some sites are pretty strict on this (especially those with closed/invite-only registrations) and some are more lenient; which is why it's hard for me to give you a definite answer on why you were banned.
Like I said, you should sent a support ticket/e-mail to the admin of the site (look for their Contact Us page) and explain the entire situation. Let them know that you are not sharing or doing anything shady with your account.
Hopefully they'll let you back without asking too many questions!
