The VMA ratings dipped from last year, which was surprising since it included two of the biggest names in pop music: Beyonce and Taylor Swift. Now obviously Beyonce pulled her share by getting universal praise from critics/fans/celebs for her performance and also being a huge buzz for the night on social media.

However Taylor seemed to not be mentioned on social media, and reviews for her performance have been luke warm to bad. In fact, many news outlets are instead opting to talk about her suggestive dress than the performance itself.

Why are so many stans dragging Beyonce, but not Taylor when she is arguably just as big of a star?

I don't understand how someone can be blamed for bringing 8.3M viewers but not can be praised for the same thing.
If she was the only performer promoted, that means all of the 8.3M viewers tuned in for HER, which is something to brag about.
